Our work in Nigeria has always been based on a relationship of friendship and trust with our local partners. Because we have not been able to travel to Nigeria for the past two years, we decided to add new adjunct members to our board of directors who can be our “eyes and ears” on the ground in Nigeria. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Tahoma Jabbe and Nurse Helen Victor to our Board of Directors. Their job is to: • Help us recruit teams of volunteers for future outreach missions • Evaluate the landscape for future clinic sites • Survey and advise us about political and safety issues for potential mission trips • Provide local perspectives on problems which may affect our decisions about new clinics and other mission Initiatives Tahoma JabbeTahoma Jabbe received his Bachelor of Medicine (MB) and Bachelor of Surgery (SB) and a Post- Graduate Fellowship in Family Medicine at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital. He is currently a staff doctor at the Central Bank of Nigeria Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Abuja, Nigeria. He has served with us on several medical missions at Kateri clinics over the years. Helen VictorHelen Victor received her degree in nursing and midwifery from St. Gerard’s Catholic Hospital School of
Nursing in Kaduna. She is currently Nurse Supervisor at Genesis Specialty Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. She has served with us on every one of our medical missions for the past twelve years. She knows all of the bishops, doctors, nurses and staff workers at every one of our clinics.
