Just returned from a 3 week medical mission outreach in Nigeria. We had some very difficult security challenges, but we persevered and God blessed our efforts. We are very grateful for the dedicated work of these good men and soldiers who provided security on our medical missions. Security team in Diocese of Kafanchan. These are 3 of the 20 soldiers and DSS ( Department of State Security) guards who helped us. It is an unfortunate and ironic reality that we need the protection of armed men to bring healing to hurting people. Here is our team photo for the first week in Kateri, during which we helped about 1,870 people with medical care. If you live in the US, you may have heard of animosities between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria. What you have probably not heard about is Christians and Muslims working together with mutual respect and friendship. On all of our medical missions, we welcome Muslims as team members and we provide medical care to thousands of Muslims and Christians.
